MALDI Biotyper® Library (IVD-CE)

The principle behind identification of microorganisms with the IVD MALDI Biotyper® (MBT) is the comparison of the mass spectrum of an unknown organism with a library of reference mass spectra.

MBT Mycobacteria IVD Module

The genus Mycobacterium includes the important pathogens of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC) and the nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). NTM are increasingly the cause of opportunistic infections among immuno-compromised patients.
